Who We Are
At Elenor Instruments, we offer a wide range of advanced industrial flow meters designed to meet complex process measurement challenges across water & wastewater, chemical, oil & gas, energy, food & beverage, and many other industries. Our flow meters deliver high accuracy, reliability, and performance for both liquids and gases.
Choosing the Right Flow Meter
Selecting the perfect flow measurement solution depends on fluid type, cleanliness, pressure, temperature, and accuracy requirements. At Elenor Instruments, our specialists can help you tailor the correct flow meter for your specific application — ensuring optimized performance and ROI.
Magnetic (Mag) Flow Meters
Magnetic flow meters — often called Magmeters — are ideal for measuring the flow of conductive fluids. Using Faraday’s Law of Electromagnetic Induction, they generate a voltage proportional to fluid velocity as conductive liquids pass through a magnetic field. With no moving parts, magmeters offer excellent accuracy and minimal maintenance, even with suspended solids or corrosive fluids. These features make them perfect for water treatment, wastewater, pulp & paper, and chemical processing applications.
Key Benefits:
- High accuracy and repeatability
- No moving or wear parts
- Ideal for dirty or aggressive fluids
Turbine Flow Meters
Turbine flow meters are velocity-type meters that measure flow by detecting the rotational speed of a turbine wheel placed in the fluid stream. As the fluid flows, it spins the turbine blades — the blade speed is directly proportional to flow rate. Due to their fast response and high precision, turbine meters are widely used in fuel measurement, chemical dosing, HVAC systems, and clean liquid applications.
Key Benefits:
- Excellent accuracy and repeatability
- Fast dynamic response
- Suitable for clean liquids and low-viscosity fluids
Vortex Flow Meters
Vortex flow meters measure flow using the vortex shedding principle (Von Kármán effect) — when a bluff body is placed in the flow path, alternating vortices form behind it. These vortices generate a signal that corresponds to flow velocity. Robust and maintenance-friendly, vortex meters handle steam, liquids, and gases across a wide operating range.
Key Benefits:
- No moving parts — low wear and tear
- Stable operation in challenging environments
- Great choice for steam and gas measurement
Mass Flow Meters
Mass flow meters measure the mass rate of fluid directly — an essential measurement when process control depends on material balance or chemical dosing. Two common technologies are:
Direct mass measurement using the Coriolis effect with high precision.
Ideal for gas flow measurement using heat transfer principles.
Key Benefits:
- Direct mass measurement
- High precision for gases and liquids
- Not affected by changes in fluid conditions
Orifice Type Flow Meters
Orifice meters use a plate with a precisely sized opening to create a controlled pressure drop in the fluid. By measuring the pressure differential across the plate, the flow rate can be calculated. Simple, cost-effective, and well-established, orifice flow meters are used in gas pipelines, steam systems, and large-diameter installations.
Key Benefits:
- Cost-effective for large pipes
- Long-standing standardized performance
- Suitable for high-volume liquid and gas flows
